My car will not take gas to the gas tank except in small amounts, 10-25 cents at a time. It backflushes at me, this is not at just one gas station. What can be the problem?

the vent tube inside of the filler tube is most likely at fault, you could try pumping the fuel slower to see if that helps.

thanks, tried that and it took me 10 minutes to pump 10 dollars worth of gas in it, what can I do to fix this?

you will have to replace the fuel filler tube that goes from the tank to the fuel filler door opening.
