2000 Chevy Malibu P1410 EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit M

I replaced the EGR valve to fix the problem, but the problem still exists with the engin light and the same code is still the same. Please let me know what the next step will be to fix this issue.

did the new egr come with the EVP? if not try replacing that or the DPFE sensor.

I checked for a DPFE sensor for that model vehical and they said for that year they did not put one in thehy only placed it on a 2004 model

There is no p1410 code for a 2000 malibu. Can you double check the code again and post it for me. It will help us with a good starting point.

The wording for the error was EGR valve circuit malfunction. I was not sure on the code number

I will need the proper code number since there are several different codes relating to EGR control circuits.

THE PROPER CODE IS P0405. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

if there is no dpfe, then you must have a evp *egr valve position sensor*

that would be the only other component to cause this to act up.

either that or a bad wiring harness.
