1978 Chevy Malibu fuel line input to the carb has a leak/ho

I was on my way to replace the fuel filter when I noticed the fuel line input to the carb was kinked and had a leak in it. I now need to replace the line. I am thinking of going to the pump to the carb. I need to know what to replace it with, like that steel flex tube or whatever. If anyone has any suggestions it would be helpful.

most cars have a steel line going at least half way up to the carb. some have steel all the way . Newer cars have higher pressures so they have a solid fuel line. Older cars have less pressure so you can use some have a steel line and fuel line hose. It is up to you what you want to put on. On the fuel pump you will need a steel line coming off of it with a male end to insert into the pump the fuel pressure for a 6 cyl is 5.0 to 7.0 psi and if you decide ro ever put a v8 in it is 6.0 to 8.0 and delivers 1 pint of gas every 20 seconds.
