Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 98000 miles

Hi,
I have a 1991 Chevy lumina Euro. My cars check engine light is on and i had brought it to the shop and all he would tell me is the computer read Code 45. What does this mean??? also, my car lunges foward when i slow to about ten mile an hour. The rpm gage jumps up then down until i hold the brakes to a compleate stop. Recently, i noticed it is doing it now at 20 miles an hour?? what can i do to fix this?? Please help
