The starter was replaced in the car and immediately afterward the fan started running while the car is off. We pulled the radiator fan relay sensor which stopped the fan and the car started but if the fan is running, the car will not start. If we replace the sensor while the car is running, when the car gets hot enough for the fan to kick in, the car shuts off. The car will also shut off if we turn on the a/c. We replaced the radiator fan relay sensor but this did not fix the problem. Help!!

I think you may have several problems going on at once. idle air control valve also becuase when you turn the a/c on the engine shuts off correct. well the idle is supposed to be raised when you turn the a/c on so that the car doesnt shut off, and the IAC, is what controls your idle

We are going to replace the engine coolant temperature sensor today (unless it starts pouring rain again). I'll let you know how it turns out. Thank you for your response!
