Subject says it all. When you go to change the vents (lets say from window to floor), the heat is slow to come out from the floor or it won't change over at all. What is the name of the part that controls this? The actuator? And is it a fairly easy fix if there isn't a vacuum leak?

Thanks for any help!

Chances are the actuator control is fine and the problem is a cracked (plastic) vacuum hose under the dash or where the supply hose goes throgh the firewall to the engine.

Start the engine and listen for a hissing sound. If you're lucky, you'll be able to hear the leak.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
