I'm having trouble with my Lumina. I can drive it for a lengthy amount of time, such as an hour on the interstate. Then, when I stop it and it sits for about 30 minutes, I will try to start it again and the engine misfires and won't take any fuel when I press the accelerator. Then, I can let it sit for another 30 minutes to an hour, try it again, and it will start up just fine. And once it is running, it doesn't give me any problems.
The service engine light flashes when it misfires and stays on pretty much all the time. Sometimes it goes out, only to come back on again while I'm driving. I took it to Autozone to check the codes and its a cylinder misfire. The possible causes listed are: oxygen sensor defective, ignition misfire, fuel injector problem, vacuum leak, ignition wires or coil, high or low fuel pressure.
So far, I've had the plug wires replaced, the fuel filter replaced, and the ignition coil replaced. None of those were the problem. Any suggestions?
