I need to replace the spark plugs and wiring and do a tune up on my car. I have never had the wheels balanced since I've had it, (the passed 2 years). I have had new tires put on a little over a year ago. I have felt around the tires to make sure there are no lumps or bumps in the tires. Not really sure why it would be shaking (mostly in the steering wheel) once I get over 55 (only sometimes)?

Hello, did they balance the new tires, when they put them on? Have you tried rotating the front tires to the rear, does the vibration change? Struts/ shocks, front-end alignment may need to be checked.

On some models, I've seen bad rear shocks cause a vibration.

Thanks, I'm not really sure, but do you think it could be the master cylinder? It seems to be coming more from the front of my car, and I just looked at my brakes (pads/routers) and they look totally fine. But, when I brake it seems to pulsate too, which is normally the back brakes, but it's definitely coming from the front not the rear.

warped rotors can cause a pulsation.

Yeah, I had actually only looked at one side(left side) which was fine, but then I pulled off the right side and it is just totally warped. Got some better pads and roters and replacing both sides now. Thanks for the help. Could that have caused the shaking and wobbling over 55?

It's a place to start. You may still need the tires balanced and the front end aligned.
