okay, this is my question. i bought my lumina, it has the 3100 engine, not even three months ago with a suppossed 'rebuilt' engine. I paid $800 for it, which isnt bad, but as soon as i began to actually drive it it all went downhill. from day one, it would get hot as soon as it was running, and overheated twice, both times within less than 10 minutes of city driving. i went to add oil, it was about a quart low, and saw the telltale whitish-yellow foam that marks a cracked block. do you think this really was a rebuilt engine? is it worth the money to try to fix? what caused this problem? did i just drive it too hard?
