Could someone please tell me how to replace the door handle rod on my drivers side door. A diagram would be extra helpful. If not available just some directions would surely help this frustrated backyard mechanic

you can order a whole new door handle from partstrain.com for about $35. easy to install and they ship in 2 days. it comes with the whole housing for the handle "all the way up to the top of the door"...
