1992 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl 140000 miles
When I was driving my vehice, the brakes or shall I say the rear wheel started smoking. I noticed the odor first, while driving on the highway, and then smoke started comming from the left rear tire. I changed the pads and when inspecting the old ones, they seemed to be burnt, as if on fire. I then changed the pads with hope that I resolved the situation. I drove around town for an hour or so, and everything seemed fine, but when I got on the interstate and started increasing my speed limit, I smelled that burning odor again, and asked my wife, baby do you smell that ? and she said yeah, and lo and behold, when I looked out of the drivers rear view, smoke was comming from the driver side rear tire again. Please help , what could be the problem ?
