1990 Chevy Lumina ignition timing

You can't adjust the spark timing, if that's what your talking about. I guess you have the v6 with dis ignition?

Can you give more information on your problem?

i was told that i had to unplug something w/ orange wire, set the timing, then plug the wire in with the engine running io order to get the computer to reset itsself

On some distributor ignition systems, you may be able to adjust the timing. If your ignition system is original, you don't have a distributor.
