o2 sensor [post catylitic converter] for a 2001 truck

i have a code [po160 post cat.] that comes up. i replaced the sensor and the code came back. i then replaced the catylitic converter and the code came back again. the truck has 94000 miles with a 5.3 liter. i'm out of anwsers, does anyone have a suggestion?

did you put a OBD2 compliant cat on it?

i am not sure if it was obd2 compliant. i asked the owner of a local muffler shop if it would work on that year of truck. he did say it was an universal type, which was a concern of mine. i will call him and find out what brand or make it is and do some more research on the type he put in. thanks again for the reply.
