My 95 impala ss gears are sticking.

It is not recommended to use higher than 89 octane as this will carbon up the engine and damage other components.this is stock as built by GM 94-96 years. I would drop transmission pan and inspect filter and pan bottom for excessive dirt/contaiminates low pressures in trans . will cause poor upshift
