our shop burnt so i don't have a timing light. so i set the timing to start then made series of stops and gos to try to get timing close. if i get it set to start good. it feels as though it floats the valves and stops, but when i get it to run right it pings its but off..

im going to replace the knock sensor for sure, and have new o2 sensors now, but i also found when i adjusted the timing it has a very weak spark. one of the wires came off while trying to move distributer. what do you do to test these coils. im planning on going to a high output coil anyway. but id love to know which wires to check and what reading.

thank you..

That would be a good start for weak spark, but I would stick with OEM
