I have a Mits Galant 1998, manual transmission.
The car was giving a growling sound in all gears, especially while accelerating, for the past few days. Then, while I was taking it on the interstate, the gears suddenly stopped working. The engine kept running, but the gears just did not engage. The clutch is working normally, even the gears seem to be ok by the way the shift moves, but they dont engage.
Could you please tell me what the problem could be and the potential cost estimate.
