I have a '97 Acura 2.2 CL. Recently one of my drive belt pulleys began to squeal and has since burned through the spindle bushing. I know this should be taken care of, but how much time do I have? It still spins but it is clear that there is no buffer between the pulley center and the spindle on which it spins (there is a metal on metal grind that occurs upon ignition but it fades slightly after I get going for a while). Can/should I drive short distances or do I risk it siezing on me. How difficult a job is this for one to handle? Can you reccomend any complete sources for repair info?
