I have a 2000 Impala miles are 98005 with V 3800 seriesII. I am having a eccelerated winding noise when I began to drive or coast. Its not happening until the car is in motion. When the car is at a stand still and I push the gas the engine and everything sounds great and normal, until I began to coast or drive I hear this irritating winding sound inside the car,it sounds like something is rubbing against the tires or something, its very annoying. Can someone please tell me what the cause of this noise is and how do I stop it

I just had the same problem. I couldn't find the problem until my Transmission went out. I just had it fixed.
