The righ rear turn signal light is not working. When I turn on the right signal there the arrow on the dashboard clicks very rapidly. The right rear taillight is working. Is this a bulb problem or a fuse issue?

here is some info, found a bulletin for this problem.Due to the common architecture Body Control Module (BCM) utilizing several fuses for power, and the labeling of the fuses, it is possible to overlook some fuses in the Under hood Bussed Electrical Center (UBEC) when diagnosing a concern with the turn signals, trunk actuator, courtesy lamps, or Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI).

If the fuse in the UBEC labeled RT T/SIG is open it will cause the right rear turn signal, the trunk actuator, and the BTSI to be inoperative.

Note: The right front turn signal will still function.

If the fuse in the UBEC labeled INT LIGHTS is open it will cause the right front turn signal to be inoperative.

Note: The right rear turn signal will still function and the courtesy lamps will still function.

If the fuse in the UBEC labeled INT LTS/PNL DIM is open the courtesy lamps will be inoperative.

Note: The instrument panel cluster backlighting will still function. why don't you take it to the dealer to get fixed?it's under factory warrenty.hope this helps.

double check the bulbs, if they are blinking fast it sounds like a blowen bulb somewhere

Signals just quit working. Checked the fuses, relays, and flasher all checked out good. Even had auto part store take a look. He came to the conclusion it was the switch. I ordered the part and I changed the part myself. Everything is plugged in properly but still no turn signals. Where do I go from here?

okay, try pressing your hazard switch on and off again a bunch of times to see if they start working. If they do then great but it may only be temporary. We are loosing power somewhere and that is a tail light relay you need to check. It sounds like the hazard switch could have gone out sometime people spill coffee.

Here are two guides to help you see how to find the problem.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

Here are the wiring diagrams and relay locations (below) see where you are losing power.

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers

You either need a new turn signal switch or it is the turn signal flasher which is built into the hazard switch. I just went through the same problem and luckily mine was just the back of the hazard switch was not connecting properly. If it is the actually turn signal switch you are looking at spending 258 at auto zone for the part. If it is the hazard warning switch you will be looking at around 65 dollars and a headache removing the dashboard completely! Hope this helps!

My turn signals quit working after they were working intermittently and making a loud buzzing noise. My boyfriend bought a brand new turn signal switch and that did not fix it. What else could be the problem?

i would suspect a faulty flasher unit. this flasher unit is built into the hazard lights switch.

It was actually the back of the hazard switch. The pins that go into the connector were bent so my boyfriend straightened them out in his auto electricity class and now my turn signals work! Thanks for replying!

All Bulbs- OK, All Fuses- OK, Hazards- OK, Left turn signal- OK, Right turn signal- rear flashing fast, front not flashing. No green arrow on insturment panel for right signal. Replaced Hazard Switch 3 times with same result. Right front bulb will flash on Hazard only, not on right turn.

From what I see on wiring the multi function turn switch must have a high resistence on right side ie. burnt contact. High resistence will cause flasher to flash fast and no power to I/P will not light indicater.

2001 Chevy Impala mileage: 84,000. My dash lights, speedometer and turn signal are not working. I have checked the car manual and cannot find a cause. The fuse box on the side panel says that it controls other lights but all those work, except for the three above. Any suggestions? Appreciate your help.

Check for 12-volts that feeds the fuse panel, especially the connectors that are energized by the ignition switch.

Okay so all of a sudden my 2000 Chevy Impala's blinkers stopped working... all of them. The light for the blinkers doesn't even come on in the dash display and there is no light coming from any of the 4 blinkers. I just replaced the relay for the blinkers which did not solve the issue. I checked the fuse and I was getting a reading so I assume it's not blown. It started where the right blinker stopped working and we replaced the bulb... A week later none of them work. I don't understand why they all of a sudden just decided to stop working. Please help me I can't get to work or use my car!

try your hazard flashers to see if they work, i'm sending a pic of where the lflasher is as it's part of the hazard switch. check the ground and see if t/s switch is getting and sending power. you can always use hand signals to drive the car. Although if t/s switch is bad your brake light s may not work either.

The blinkers quit working, after I hit the emergency lights the blinkers start working. That works most of the times but rarely the emergency lights do not work either.

My turn signals work for approximately the first 5-10 minutes of driving, then as the car heats up, the turn signals no longer work, unless I move the steering wheel just right to either the left or the right. What are your thoughts?

Would have to say something with the turn signal switch. Possible worn contact issue or loose mounting bolts.

Where your shifter meets your colum there's a little rubber cover. Pull that up and you should see a little pin that that you have to push out. That will let you remover the shift lever and slide the metal surrounding off. Now if you look right below the whole colum by the dash board there's a short piece of metal trim about 5 inches long. Look behind that and remove the two nuts. After that I think there's 2 or 3 screws under the colum and 2 connecting the rest of the colum trim metal to the dash. Just slide that out and you should be able to install your signal switch. Just reverse what you did removing it and you'll have it all back together. Remember to always take note of where everything is. Just to make sure that it's correct again. These cars are built simple so it shouldn't be much of a problem. Try that and get back to me.

i pulled up the little boot cover on the shifter bot the rod i think is missing cause theres a little hole there, first i thought it was for a allen wrench but the wrench went all the way out the other side? ps thanks for your reply, i appreciate it much.

No problem man, but to be honest if the pin was missing the shift lever would fall out. It's a hollow pin so a small Allen wrench would pass through it. Try taking a Allen wrench the same diameter of the whole you see and lightly tap it with a hammer. There's no way that the pin is missing. The lever truly wouldn't stay on. Get a better look. I have a feeling you're over looking.

Just to be clear, you replaced the socket and installed the bulb. Tested it before you put it in the tail lamp assembly and it worked, then when you put it in, it would not work? If this is the case then the only thing that really makes sense is the light has come loose or your wiring connection has come loose. How did you connect the new socket? Can you get some pictures of what you are dealing with so we can get on the same page? Thanks
