Is it possible to access the automatic lock and unlock door function via the OBDII connector? If it can be done where might I find the codes? Or what information do I need to perform this function.

HI Brian,

I have remote access to the OBD2 using a scan tool device with bluetooth. I am able to input command from my laptop. I would like to be able to lock and unlock the car remotely via the OBD2/BCM/ECM etc. I would like to know if this is possible, and if so how do I proceed to gain the information needed to accomplish this.

Yes I want to unlock the doors using the laptop. I do have Key fobs. I am working on a project that requires I be able to remotely gather pertinent data about vehicle use, and operate the vehicle door locks. I can extract and process the data via the OBD2. I would like to be able to perform the door lock; unlock function using the OBD2 as well.
Thank you for your reply.

only advise is maybe in the future people might be able to do that but as of wright now you cant.the doors lock and unlock throught the RCDLR (remote control door lock reciever) it has an antenna on the l/s A pillar, maybe you can work on sending a signal from the laptop to the antenna of the RCDLR then you might be able to unlock/lock it. when you hit the buttons on the key fob it recieves a rolling code from the fob to the RCDLR antenna. that might work? post back if something changes.
