2006 Chevy Impala Warranty/Transmission

Hi:
The car you have is a good vehicle and if you change the fluids, oil, trans fluid... and follow the manufacturer's recommendations, you should easily get 150K out of it without any major repairs. Keep in mind, I don't know how you drive the car and I assume it is driven in a normal manner.

Also, if you think about it the 35K + 50K more will only put you at 85K and like I said, it should be fine if taken care of. Additionally, 3000.00 dollars could pay to replace the trans and still have 1K left over, so I question if it's a good idea unless you have had problems and concerns of many things.

Finally, if you do decide to purchase it, read and reread the conditions. Many times these warranties don't cover items unless the problem fails in the order they describe. I've seen many problems described by warranty companies in a manner that it's almost impossible to occur.

I'll shut up now and hope I didn't confuse you. But 3K is a lot of money that would cover a lot of repairs. And, chances are with the mileage, you won't need it until the warranty expires.
