Wow... This is a new one to me. We are going to have to start by removing the door panel to examine what has come apart inside the door. THere is linkage, the actual latch itself, child safety lock... that must have broken or detached when he slamed the door.

Listen, it's not going to be easy to take the panel off with the door closed, but it can be done. THere are a few screws that hold the arm rest in place, and if you check along the bottom of the panel, I believe there are a couple screws. Once they are removed, the only thing holding it on are clips that are between the panel and the door itself. Remove the panel and check if there is any linkage that is disconnected or broken.

Let me know what you find.

Well I took the door panel off the door but I didn't see how to take the door handle on the inside off to really get a good look and there was a layer of foam like stuff that stuck to the metal of the door. Also I turned the child lock on and no I can open the door from the outside but not the inside. To get the door open in the begining I was trying to see if the houseing to the door handle on the inside and the automatic window would come off by sticking a flat head screw driver in and prying it open but being to affriad to break it I didn't but I felt and heard a click and I tried to open the door with the handle on the inside and the door poped open and it shut and opened a few more times before it messed up again and that's when I locked the child lock and now it opens from the outside and closes all the time. Should I try to fix it again or leave it alone?

Honestly, that is up to you. If you have the door opening, it should be much easier to access things.

I believe the handel stays on the door and you slide the panel over it. It's much easier when it's in front of me. If you take a picture of where you were haveing the trouble, it would help me.

The plastic you removed is there to reduce noise and air from entering the vehicle. It's like insulation.

Let me know if you have other questions.
