Heater problem
2004 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The heater in my car quit blowing. At first it would only blow on the highest setting, then it stopped all together. When I am driving, I still have hot air that blows out of the vents, but it stops when my car is at a stop. When it was working on the highest setting and I would start my car. It sounded like the heater was trying to kick on, it would hesitate at first but then it would start blowing. Help, please!!! I have been told by different people that it is my blower motor, blower motor resistor, dual control switch and so on. I can't afford to take it to a mechanic to have them look at it and charge me for that, then charge for parts and labor. Please let me know what you think it could be. Thank you.
