I have a Chevy Impala 3.4L and ever since I bought it over-heat and seldom gives me a harsh kick on 2nd and 3rd gears ( approximately 20-30 mph) whether is cold/warm temperatures when its running. The temperature gauge reads overheating alarm but the bizarre thing is that the engine is not hot at all, fans barely comes on when it happens. I replaced the thermostat, water pump, fans switch sensor, fans, new radiator, and some blown fuses and now after a while it does it again. I double check all the engine fluids, plus fuses and everything is fine now I ran my computer scanner into it and ran an engine code P1811 which mean: "Maximum adapt and long shift." One thing I am not sure, what does this has to do with the engine performance or the car overheating. I very pissed off, I spend too much money buying this car plus I’m currently paying off a car warrantee that does not help at all.
