i Had the oil changed at the dealership. they recomended the transmition to be flushed because the fluid was a little discolored. so i agreed. big mistake, after they flushed it started shifting hard. took it back they said it was from a bad pressurw valve in transmission. charged me $640.00 to repair it one of the workers said sometimes the flush cloggs up this valve but the service manager would never admit to this. i paid it i will never have anyone flush one again. why is this recomended. sure sorce of income? did they flush it wrong or what?

The pressure regulator valve is a known common failure it this transmission. The flush will sometimes prevent this valve from failing. If the valve failed right after the flush, It would be due to excessive amounts of debris accumulated inside the transmission. The valve body in this transmission is also a known weak point.
My professional opinion, The fluid was probably in worse condition than the tech thought. He should have paid closer attention to the fluid condition and warned of possible failures due to any remaining sediment. In the end, it is just bad luck. Without disassembling the transmission, it is verry difficult to tell what kind of junk is in there. The transmission flush equipment is the best thing for attempting to eliminate this junk in the transmission.
