steering question

i need a center link for my 1972 impala will a part from 1973 fit i am told i cant get for 1972 please help 2 dr convertable 400 2 bbl no air power steering and brakes

the bodies were pretty much the same. i would expect them to interchange.
just compare the new one with the one you take off.
