Ignition lock stuck

Transmission problem 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 73000 miles

Goes into park but steering wheel does not lock. Shift button does not pop out and keys will not come out key also stays in accessory?

There is a shift lock cable that goes to the gear selector if that is okay the ignition switch tumbler sounds like it went out which is common here are diagrams to help you get the problem fixed.

Thanks for the diagrams it turned out the ignition witch was bad. Great site btw
