Odometer displays 9999999 digit number only

You have the same problem as I do 9999999. Also my odometer when reset to 0 and you drive a few miles and turn the van off and restart it, it resets its self back to 0. I see you posted this in 1997 and still have no answer! Maybe someone will give us an answer. Only diff. is mine is a 2002, 5.7, 4 speed auto, 3.73 gear in rearend. Oh one more thing it looks like I have a red light on all the time on the odometer.
