2002 Chevy Express blower motor

Hi guys I have an 02 chevy express, when i turn it on the A/C blower kicks on high and will not turn down. When I shut the van off the blower continues to run the only way ive found to stop it so far is by disconnecting the battery

I just experienced EXACTLY the same problem. My 2002 3500 Extended Express with 101600 miles is doing the same thing. No solution yet. I unplugged the connector to the blower box in the engine compartment about a foot about the battery to stop it while parked.

I believe the blower uses a relay for the high mode, maybe it's stuck shut????
