I'm very close to getting the pump removed, but I can not figure out how to pull the fan off the pump. Any pointers?

What engine size is your vehicle equipped with i.e. 4.0L 5.7L ..?

It's a 5.7 litre.....but good news, the pump is replaced and working well. Thanks.
In case anyone else is wants to know, it takes a special tool to remove the fan from the water pump. You could try using a strap wrench, but I went to an AutoZone parts store and they let you use the tool (with a refundable $25 deposit). WORKED GREAT (I'm sure any major parts store has the same program)
Another hint....buy the special wrench for removing the self-crimping hose bands. IT IS COMPLETELY WORTH THE $30!!! Some of those hose bands are tucked back in there so tight, you can even get at them with needle nose vise grips (I tried).
