I smelled coolant coming from the engine. I looked under the hood and noticed a couple puddles of coolant and also some sopts on my driveway. One tech (#1)said it was a lower intake gasket and they could fix it. He also wanted to flush the coolant and do a injection flush with a lube and oil and fliter job. Another tech (#2) who specializes in vettes wanted to fix the intake gasket leak with new gaskets, clean the throttle body, clean the fuel rails, clean the injectors with a sonic cleaner and replace the O-rings. Both wanted to charge me the same price- My question is shouldnt I go with tech (#2) who will clean thses parts manually rather than have then flushed?? Please advise me as I know not alot about mechanic work.

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, tech 2 would be the obvious choice.

And since you already went for a 2nd diagnosis I would get a 3rd. Unless feel the 2 you went to are reputable and you trust there diagnosis.

It never hurts to get 3 or 4 different diagnosis.
