When the brake is depressed on a two-reservoir brake master cylinder, is it normal for a small geyser to appear in one, both or neither reservoir? What should be seen in each reservoir when the pedal is depressed?

basically just fluid should be seen in resevoir. I've seen that happen many times what you describe wth nothing wrong. YOu can only push so much fluid through the orfices and the rest will need to go back to the resevoir. Now if your brake pedal ges to the floor and then wil pump back up that is th indication of a bad master cylinder....
