rear hatch

i have a 1987 corvette that suddenly stopped opening the rear hatch from any switch - i have looked in all manuals i can think of to find the problem - but cant find a direct answer as to why the hatch quit working
hopw you can direct me to the correct answer

have you tried the fuses for the hatch

change the shocks on the hatch window they are to weak to lift the hatch the cost is $40 for one so order two remember order with defroster it will aqsk with or without.

the way I read the post is that hyou can not get the latch to unlock. I don't think you can replace the shocks with the hatch closed. sounds like you are not getting voltage to the switches to let the latch unlock.
