I own a 1976 Corvette with about 64000 miles on it. The battery is getting drained through some short in the electrical system, but now even when I charge it up I only get a little rattling or clicking noise. Is this indicative of a bad solenoid and where do I even get to it to replace it?

Remove the positive cable and stick a test lite between the cable and the battery positve post-if you have a short the test lite will lit-if so start removing fuses one at a time-when the test lite turns Off you have found your problem circuit. In the event you have remove all the fuses and test lite still lit disconnect the alternator-lite turn off -its coming from the alternator. Diodes!!!!
