Hello,
I was wondering at 55,486 miles on my vette, what type of maintenance check ups should I be doing with my car? Also, I was wondering about changing the transmission and rear differential fluids. My owners manual says these fluids need to be changed around 100K miles, but some mechanics say 50K. What do you think?

I have changed my own brakes, oil, air filter, and added other lubricants as seen necessary.

I think your at a good time to change the fluids, also you will need to do a timing belt. and just an overall safety check on the suspension and you should be good to go

Am I specifically changing the rear diff and transmission fluids?

yes, and of course the tranny filter, and your other basic items, such as pcv valve, air filter, fuel filter, unless you've done some of these recently
