2000 corvette 69k mi display for climate control is not visible during the day and very faint at night . looks like it doesn't work if you don't look real hard just bought the car is this an easy fix if so how

There is a light behind the liquid crystal display that needs replacing.

is this something a average home shadetree can do
if so can you get the part from gm

Yes it's an easy fix!

My 2002 had the same problem until I fixed it with these instructions. Took me only 90 mins and it works like new.
