1997 Chevy Corvette removal of heater fan

My heater fan stopped working after making some noise. I believe that mice may have gotten in and built a nest. I'm unsure so that I need instructions on how to remove heater fan. Also how difficult of a job?

Remove the front floor kick-up panel.

Remove the cover from the I/P electrical center.

Remove the BLO MOT (blower motor) MaxiFuse No. 49 from the I/P electrical center.

Remove the right side instrument panel lower insulator panel.

Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector from the blower motor.

Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube from the HVAC module.

Remove the three blower motor retaining screws.

Remove the blower motor with fan from the HVAC module.


To install:

Install the blower motor with fan to the HVAC module.

Install the blower motor retaining screws.

Connect the blower motor cooling tube to the HVAC module.

Connect the blower motor resistor electrical connector to the blower motor.

Install the right side lower insulator panel.

Install the BLO MOT (blower motor) MaxiFuse No.49 to the I/P electrical center.

Install the cover to the I/P electrical center.

Install the front floor kick-up panel.


Remove the right hand insulator panel.
NOTE
The blower motor resistor is internal to the blower motor assembly and is not serviced separately.


Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.

Remove the blower motor retaining screws.

Remove the blower motor from the HVAC module.


To install:

Install the blower motor to the HVAC module.

Install the blower motor retaining screws.

Connect the blower motor electrical connector.

Install the RH insulator panel.
