Hello, My driver side door window guide broke off . the part that bolts thru the glass is still there and must be removed and of course replaced. It is a little tight in there , what is the best way to go about replaceing this part. I have the door panel off and can see where it goes . any advice will be appreciated

Hello Well, Sir, the biggest advice is plan on taking your time, going slow and be patient. I have taken apart many doors, worked windows etc. They have all been shall I say.....interesting. Normally it is easier with two, but get a rubber door stop wedge and wedge that between the glass and the door to keep it in whatever position works best. You will need a couple of different ones. I have found it easier to remove the glass totally from the door, replace hardware and reinstall. The use of ¼ drive ratchets work best to me due to the space. Also if you have ratchet wrenches per the pic they work really well too.

Don't let the window fall. The wedge will help but don't always trust. Sometimes I put a cut 2x4 in to keep it to a short fall if it does. Watch if you do decide to pull the glass all the way out which I like best, not to chip it and keep at the correct angle. It is amazing to me how strong the glass is but yet it only takes 1 little tic.... Edges are sharp.......I would show you the scar of the stitches but no need.....so move slow and precise. You may find you will be talking to yourself saying: "Now how in the world did they get all of that in there and hands?"......this is perfectly normal to include answering yourself with ----"I don't know.".
