MY 1992 CORVETTE WITH 25000 MILES HAS THE FACTORY HORN ALARM GOING OFF FOR NO REASON. THE COURTESY LIGHTS COME ON WITH THE ALARM AND I MUST PULL OUT THE COURTESY FUSE TO SHUT THE LIGHTS OUT. EVEN WITH THAT FUSE PULLED OUT, THE ALARM STILL GOES OFF FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE "SYS" LIGHT IS NOW FLASHING TOO. THE BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED WHICH HAS IN THE PAST PUT THE "SYS" LIGHT OUT, BUT NOW IT WON'T STOP FLASHING. ALSO THE OUTSIDE TEMP, FAN SETTING, AND DESIRED TEMPERATURE SHOWS A BLANK SCREEN.

Ok let me start with saying that there isn't a lot of info on the alarm system but I will try to help where I can. Looking over the wiring diagrams the alarm and heating problems seem to be seperate problems. Now first with the alarm it seems to tied directly to the horn via a 15 amp fuse (theft fuse) in the auxiliary fuse block #1. Goes to the horn relay and to the horn and the central control module behind the behind the instrument panel and to the horns. On the heating/ac unit here is a test to do hope it comes through ok. Let me know what you find here. I will do some further looking to see if we can find better wiring on the theft system and how you can pull codes from the heating system to help find its problem too.
