I had to replace the positive battery cable on my 89 corvette. Car started and ran fine before. I was pulling on the positive cable to get some slack and I heard a popping noise after that it would not start (no cranking at all) thought I had broke the cable. So I replaced the cable and nothing happened, still no crank. Battery is new, lights come on etc. but no cranking. Checked starter connects, everything seems to be fine.
I have been told it might be the alarm or a fuse and I would have to take it to a dealer, but not quite sure where to start.
Thoughts?
Thanks
