Hello,

JUST BOUGHT THIS 1985 vette! The car starts up just fine, but, as soon as let your foot off the gas the car falls flat on it's face. I repalced the IAC motor based on a GM tech's recomendation but that did not fix the problem. I have a few other ideas but I would like to know what the experts think!

Hello i have an 84 in mint condition sometimes mind will do the same thing but rarely so i took to my corvette mechanic and he said work your accelarator to get the gas flowing properly then take your foot off to see if it will stay at idle. so try that , good luck

note the car is over twenty years old.
