Sirs:
Several days ago I was driving my vette downtown. I turned on the radio, the powered antenna mast raised normally. Everything worked fine. When I turned off the radio the mast lowered normally. However, the motor continued to run even after turning the ignition off. I turned the radio back on. The mast did not rise. I went back the the antenna and was able to raise and lower the mast without any resistance. It appears I may have to replace the entire assembly. How do I get access to the motor assemble? Is there available a good "how to" book which covers the antenna assembly? I have two manuals and neither one of them covers replacement of the motor assembly. One of them is a Haynes manual (12 years old). Any help is greatly appreciated.

A better option (for repair manuals) is to go to AutoZone and purchase a subscription to "Alldata". The package will come with a CD and a registration code that you use on their web-site.

This will be a "Single-vehicle" subscription, and will give you vastly more amounts of repair information than any printed manual.

In addition, you can visit "corvetteamerica.com" or contact any major parts supplier that specializes in corvettes. When you order any one of their parts, they usually come with a printed installation procedure. If not, ask them to furnish one with their product. They will.
