it takes 5 or 6 minutes for the transmission to go in gear?

after car sits for a day or so it takes 5 or 6 minutes for the transmission to go in gear then everything is normal , have changed fluid & filter. any suggestions. Thanks Wayne

Is is cold there? A weak front pump in the transmission will cause no movement until it warms up a few minutes. You might try some TransX..it works wonders.

Yep, I have seen the front pump seal leak and allow air to get into the system which takes a few minutes to work it way out. Lucas transmission additive works good for this. Also,m check the fluid level and condition as well and service the transmission if the fluid is dark or burnt smelling here is a guide to help.
