Engine Cooling problem
1996 Chevy Corsica 6 cyl Automatic 138000 miles
I had a bit of a bottom-out a few weeks ago and since then, my car reacts kind of funny. I had the transmission pan and gasket replaced because the bottom-out had punctured the drain pan, but now my car grinds incessantly - it's fainter when in drive, but seems to be most prominent when idling in park or reverse. I've also noticed that my car gets hotter than normal (to the point where it's almost unbearable to drive in sandals) when driving on the highway, but only seems to get hot after I apply the brakes or idle at a stoplight. When in motion, the temperature remains cool.
Any help would be appreciated - though it's an 'older' car, I love this thing!
