Can I run the engine without the thermostat installed, I.E. cold and make the PCM think that the engine is warm?
I understand that without temp indication the PCM puts me in "limp mode" very poor gas mileage! Car runs great no smoke etc otherwise if run cold!
I have a warped head and Blue Devil Sealant works just fine as long as the block remains cool. Normal temp 180 opens the leak to far for the chemical to close it! I just use the car for local trips and do not intend on a major engine repair. Even running with no thermostat I get some heat in winter inside!
Can I somehow supply a false temp present signal to the PCM (computer) to get out of "limp mode"??
