1992 Chevy Corsica Fuel leaking

My 1992 Corsica is puring fuel from the purge canister. Why would this occure?

there is a purge valve that is faulty and needs to be replaced, its a oneway check valve, so if it is faulty, it will allow fuel in the wrong way causing it to leak
