Im hearing a knocking noise now and it happend after i went to accelerate and it wasnt going i think i was running out of gas then i put gas in it then i started to hear the knocking noise could you tell me what it could be

oh boy, it sounds like your timing belt skipped some teeth or snapped and needs to be reset and possibly a belt replacement. it either that or you may not have any transmission fluid, check your fluids. transmission fluid

ok ill do that hopefully thats what it is i had one mechanic say it was a rod but i dont think it is

the knocking noise could be a rod, , you can easily check that by taking the valve cover off, but timing has got to be off, and you could have damaged a rocker arm . there are several possibilities and only one way to find out. keep me posted

check compression, that help you determine the internal damage
