1989 Chevy Corsica stalls when coming to a stop

now owning my second one i know this problem. it is the catolitic converter. i drilled 8 holes in the exhaust and runs like a champ now. so bypass it or just have a REALLY loud car. and put new plug wires on as well, it helped mine
