hi i am trying to find out i have a 1989 chevy corsica i have replaced the plugs and wires, fuel filter, ignition switch. every time i drive my car it kills on me and cranks right back up should i replace all the coil packs the certified shop is just takin my money i paid 150 dollars yesterday because they said it was my cadalatic converter when i dropped my car off it was killin and when i picked it up it was worst he told me to drive it for about 3 days and it should get better if not at least he did get some of the carbon or build up out what should i do i am not a mechanic and he have my money and he say something else could be the problem

First, if they diagnosed the problem, they are responsible for fixing it. If they replaced a part and it didn't work, tell them to refund your money.

As far as the engine dieing, is there a check engine light on? Have you had the computer scanned? Most nationally recognized parts store will do it for free.

check your cps crankshaft position senser it is located above the oil pan make sure there is no metel on the little magnent on the end and also check for cracks in it hope this helps
