I have antilock brakes and when I release the brake pedal and slide my foot over to the gas pedal the brake pedal clicks. It seems like it's coming from the rod that goes into the rubber boot on the firewall. I asked the dealer about it and they looked on the computer and told me nobody esle had complained and that was the end of it. It doesn't click all the time but is very annoying.

Check the nuts/bolts securing the brake master cylinder assembly to the bulkhead. Move the pedal by hand while watching for extraneous movement in the parts. It could be the bushing connecting the pedal assembly to the master cylinder actuating rod, or it could be loose bolts.
